Corporate Strategy Manager, Asia Pacific
Summary
Reporting to the Business & Process Director, the Corporate Strategy Manager will be critical in driving a wide range of strategic topics across the region. Key responsibilities will include working alongside the director to help defined and define regional and country strategies, working on business cases for greenfield investments as well as mergers and acquisitions, driving specific improvements in businesses across the region, determining optimal supply networks, improving pricing outcomes and working with process analysts to increase process efficiency.
Responsibilities
To be successful in the role, the individual must work as a business partner across cultures and business units to gain support and drive projects which create value for the business.
- Support the Business & Process Director and where appropriate, lead pricing projects to:
- Define and implement business strategy.
- Prepare high-quality business presentations.
- Prepare required financial models and investment rationale for greenfield expansions and mergers and acquisitions.
- Improve pricing governance, transparency and simplicity delivering improved pricing outcomes.
- Produce high quality analysis and insights for the executive team include the APAC CFO and CEO, alongside business recommendations to drive actional improvement.
- Leverage commercial acumen to identify outliers and exceptions with data and the drivers behind these, ensuring actions are recommended to eliminate these.
- Partner closely with business units on targeted profit improvements or stabilization projects to deliver concrete action items which create value and improve bottom line performance.
- Assist in ad-hoc business improvement projects, for example, identifying the most optimal production and supply networks and assisting in due diligence for acquisitions.
- Work closely with process analysts to ensure processes to ensure efficient processes are developed, implemented, and adhered to by the businesses.
- Work with business markets to address internal control issues and refine process to bridge gaps.
- Help build up core automated reporting sets with other team members, actively developing KPIs, through a variety of tools including Tableau, SAP BW and Celonis.
- Help drive regional data collection and prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports such as market and competitive landscapes.
Requirements
- Degree in business, finance, commerce, economics, or industrial engineering (supplemented with business or consulting experience).
- Experience in a professional consulting firm is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to draw key insights from data and build presentations that communicate clear messages.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and intercultural competence
- Holistic thinking.
- Goal- and result-oriented driven approach, even in time-critical situations.
- Experience in project management would be desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Advanced Excel skills and business presentations skills (i.e. slides).
- Experience in SAP, Thinkcell, Tableau and Celonis would be advantageous.
- Strong data analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem solving.
- General knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies would be advantageous.
