Reporting into Technical Support Manager, we are searching for a team member to join us as Regional Technical Engineer.

As a Regional Process Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes across the APAC region. Collaborating with local teams, you will standardize processes, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Leveraging your expertise in process engineering and problem-solving, you will ensure operational excellence across diverse facilities. What you will be doing
Regional Process Optimization
- Leads and coordinates process improvement initiatives across the Asia Pacific region to enhance productivity, reduce wastes and costs, and improve product quality.
- Ensures that processes are standardized where possible while allowing for local variations as necessary.
- Makes sure that improvements, trials and changes are properly documented.
Technical Leadership
- Serves as the technical expert for manufacturing processes within the region.
- Provides guidance and support to local process engineers and plant teams in troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues.
- Promotes and makes sure the appropriate root cause analysis tools and techniques are used in the plants.
Best Practices Implementation
- Identifies, documents, and facilitates the sharing of best practices and technological innovations across facilities in the region.
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Project Execution
- Contributes to the execution of regional projects related to process optimization, capacity expansion, equipment upgrades, and new technology implementation.
- Ensures projects achieve desired outcomes, according to individual assignment inside the project organization.
Training and Development
- Develops and delivers training programs for local teams to enhance their process optimization and problem-solving skills.
- Mentors junior engineers and supports their professional development.
Quality and Compliance
- Ensures that manufacturing processes and their products comply with the relevant regulatory requirements, agreed quality specifications, as well as local environmental and safety regulations.
- Works closely with the quality assurance and safety teams to promote best practices in these areas.
- Makes sure all trials and changes are managed properly according to the “Management of Change” standard.
Performance Monitoring
- Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing processes across the region.
- Uses data-driven approaches to identify improvement opportunities and track the impact of implemented changes.
- Promotes the use of digital tools and systems to enhance performance monitoring and analysis.
Stakeholders Engagement
- Collaborates with global engineering teams, local management, and external partners to align process improvement initiatives with overall business strategies.
- Communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
What we would love for you to have
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistics, including mastering systems and software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different cultures and languages.
- Willingness to travel extensively, and often, across the Asia Pacific region.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills relevant to the Asia Pacific region are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma certification, or similar continuous improvement experience
- Experience in leading cross-functional and multicultural teams.
Work Environment
- The role requires a combination of office work and field visits to manufacturing sites across the Asia Pacific region.
- Extensive travel, sometimes at short notice, is a key component of this role.
